Pandemonium

It's crazy here today. Hardly finished the post on speech therapy when the physical therapist (Valerie) arrived.

She got him up out of bed and he took a quick lap around the unit with a walker. I don't think he really needed the walker, except that he was a little dizzy after spending that last 5 nights in bed. That coupled with his double-vision probably made it more of an adventure than it needed to be.

Anyway, PT will be back each day to do some more work with him until he's ready to walk on his own.

Now Dr. Ritter from internal medicine just showed up. The MDs have decided to check on him because he's running high blood pressure and a high heart rate. The doctor said he's not too surprised by either of those, under the circumstances.
